PRESIDENT’S WELCOME

I would like to welcome you to the Official Web Site of the Mid-Atlantic Shrine Association (MASA). I would like to congratulate my team of Officers on their election to office and thank them for a very productive Executive Meeting in October. We have vowed to make this very successful Association just a little better in 2008. I also would like to congratulate the 2008 Class of Potentates on their election to this most illustrious position of trust. “It’ll be great in 2008”.

This year, MASA will be adding a few new features to its 2008 agenda:

At our Spring Session at Langhorne, PA, April 3-5, 2008, we will begin the process of updating our Constitution and By-Laws, as well as conducting our regular business. This year, we will be very fortunate to have Imperial Sir Bernard J. Lemieux, MD, Imperial Potentate of North America and Imperial Sirs Douglas E. Maxwell, George A. Mitchell, Alan W. Madsen and their Ladies in attendance. We will be having a “Counter Part Dinner” on Thursday night and a “Dinner/Dance” on Friday night. On Friday morning, Lady Lorraine will be hosting the “Ladies Breakfast”. Saturday morning. On Saturday morning we will be having an Imperial Membership Presentation and a Philadelphia Hospital Presentation.

At our Fall Session at Virginia Beach, VA, September 3-7, 2008, we will be introducing two new events to our already exciting schedule. On Friday morning, MASA will host the first “MASA All Star Ceremonial” in which all 24 of our Shrine Centers will be asked to bring new Candidates to Virginia Beach for a Public Installation by our Imperial Potentate. The response by the Shrine Centers for this Ceremonial has been overwhelming and we expect a large Class of Candidates. The newly installed Nobles will be honored and marching at the front of our Saturday Parade, just behind the Imperial and MASA Officers. Another addition will be a “Night Shirt Parade” which will be held on Friday night, staring on the boardwalk and finishing at the 24th Street Outdoor Pavilion. We will be having a DJ there for your dancing pleasure.

We have made an every effort to make our Sessions just a little better and we hope that it meets with your approval. Bring your business sense, your excitement and a great big smile to the Sessions.

May the Great Architect of the Universe keep you and your Ladies in good health.

                                                                                    Yours in Faith,

                                                                                    George R. Wacob
